Kai Po Che Set in Ahmedabad, the story revolves around three friends, Ishaan (Sushant Singh Rajput), Omi (Amit Sadh) and Govind (Raj Kumar Yadav), who want to start some business. While Ishaan is an ex district level cricketer who was a victim of politics in the cricketing space, Omi is the nephew of a Hindu politician who funds their business and Govind is a geek who is the mastermind behind starting a sports shop and also a sports academy. Together they open a sports shop and an academy to train and promote budding cricketers.
	Jolly LLB Ishaan (John Abraham) a charismatic, good-looking music producer from Mumbai, lives a sheltered existence as the apple of his mother's (Zarina Wahab) eye, always protected by his elder sister Shivani (Mini Mathur). He stays at his girlfriend Anushka's (Chitrangda Singh's) house and takes them all for granted. One day Anushka sends him out of her house due to his irresponsibility’s about their marriage. His new neighbour Gauri (Prachi Desai) comes into his life and he begins to fall in love with Gauri. Ishaan is forced out of company and Gauri encourages him to start his own company.
Smashed Kate Hannah (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), a secretive alcoholic elementary school teacher, pukes in front of her class. She decides to feign being pregnant to her class and the school principal Mrs. Barnes (Megan Mullally) to save her job. She talks to her co-worker Dave (Nick Offerman), where he reveals to her that he knows she’s been drinking. Kate lets Dave swear not to tell anyone about it.
